I know most of you have seen the small video clips of Louie Palmer on his website, but you truly don't get the true diversity and amazing talent this guy has from those.
I just saw some video that is just unreal. Keep your ears and eyes open for him, he will turn heads soon.

the new video is a promo DVD i sent randy so he could try and help me make it NSTC format. Clips from that dvd will be on my site soon when i update it.

dvd came out ok, was fun doing it. a "woman" came into my life at that point as let me tell you, the way she looks, that week while filming i was NOT thinking about paradiddles!! unfortunately, 4 months later, last week she totally shat on me and fucked everything up, now i wish i had concentrated more! i am left staggered at what humans are capable of, but life goes on, you learn, and i shall just practice harder!!

Yeah Louie, i hear ya!

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I had a practice log for an entire year... i charted everything i did; the amount of minutes, the tempos, every bit of info about everything i worked on. I then went through and actually did a day-by-day chart (line-graph) of the amount of minutes i practiced for every month of that year. I was very consistant at doing about 3.5 to 4.5 a day (some days 8 hours, other days burned out and did only 1).

It was amazing to see the HUGE dip in practice time when i met my girlfriend (future EX-girlfriend). I thought i was missing a few pages in my log-book, but i actually just didn't even practice for weeks on end when i first met her. I got semi-back on track after the initial "girl buzz" wore off, but i never got truly back on track until after we broke up.

Man, girls do a number on us... yep [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]

I count my blessings when i really think about it. I have had enough relationships that f-up'd my head, now that i am single... man, there is a peace of mind to be said for that. Now that the drums can get more attention... gotta practice while i am not distracted cause i know when that special girl comes along, the one to mess me up again... the practice time will go down the drain (again)!

P.S. And being young (i'm 26)... the distractions are PLENTY!
